Student wins the BASSCOM tournament, round from the programming contest of Musala Soft and PC Magazine

For a sixth consecutive year the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM) organized a programming tournament, held as a third round of the private programming contest of Musala Soft and PC Magazine Bulgaria. First in the ranking is Bojidar Penchev, student in "Computer Sciences" at Sofia University. He took a prize of 1500 BGN. Bojidar is winning the BASSCOM tournament for the very first time, as well as he has never leaded a round of the competition till now. Apart from Informatics, in his spare time he enjoys playing football and jogging.
Second place was for Georgi Gerganov and the third for Jordan Madjunkov, both students in "Physics" at Sofia University. All the winners are ex-participants in different kind of national and international Olympiads and Georgi, and Jordan are winners in an International Olympiad of Physics - respectively bronze and silver medals.
The organization of the event and the prize fund for the tournament, were provided with the support of sponsor-companies from BASSCOM - Telerik, Nemetschek Bulgaria and Dreamix. The awards were bestowed at official ceremony on January 29th in Club BitBurger, during the traditional New Year party of BASSCOM. Host of the event was Georgi Brashnarov, chairman of BASSCOM. Many special guests honored the party.
