Musala Soft is the first Bulgarian company certified at CMMI Level 3    (българска версия)

Musala Soft successfully passed Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 assessment and thus became the first company in Bulgaria certified at maturity level 3.

In the scope of the certification were highly rated the management and engineering activities as well as corporate and organizational processes of the company, including: software development and provision of software services, project management, quality management and others.

CMMI Level 3 certifies a maturity level, at which the company has established defined and documented policies and practices that may improve over time. Defined processes are evidential for existing coherence and consistency of the way they are run into the organization, as well as for structured methodology for process adaptation against a specific project or service. An essential element for maturity level 3 is the corporate governance, providing sustainable project achievements.

This certification is part of the company's long-term program for overall process improvement, started with ISO 9001:2000, and subsequently passed through an IT Mark. Only for a year and a half the company managed to increase its CMMI maturity level from L2 to L3.

Project "Certification of Musala Soft at CMMI Level 3" is implemented with the financial support of the European Union and Republic of Bulgaria, the European Regional Development Fund, Operational Program "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy 2007-2013", which is coordinated by The Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA). The certification was conducted by the regional center for Eastern Europe of the European Software Institute - ESI Center Bulgaria, with the leading auditor from the European Software Institute in Spain.
