National Prize “Student of the Year 2017” National Prize “Student of the Year 2017”

Musala Soft President Elena Marinova was a member of the jury of the 11th edition of the National Prize “Student of the year”. She awarded the best student of Bulgaria for 2017 in the category “Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Informatics” Ivan Tsonev.

The ceremony was held on December 19th at the National Theater “Ivan Vazov”.

The prize „Student of the year 2017′ was awarded by the Chaiperson of the National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva to Anna-Maria Ljubchova Atanasova, a Law student at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.

The event was organized by the National representation of the Student Councils in Bulgaria under the patronage of the Minister of education and Science Krassimir Vulchev, PhD. The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Sofia Municipality Yordanka Fandakova, the Minister of Education and Science Krassimir Vulchev PhD, the Chairperson of the National assembly Tsveta Karayancheva, members of the parliament and university rectors.

The jury of the contest included leading experts in all areas of education who chose the winners in 14 categories: „Pedagogical Science”, “Humanitarian Science”, “Social Science”, “Economic science”, “Legal Science”, “Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Informatics”, “Technical Science”, „Rural science and veterinarian medicine”, “Healthcare”, “Sport”, “Arts”, “Security and defense”,  „Foreign student in Bulgaria” and “PhD Graduate of the Year”. The honorees of the awards have outstanding academic results and have proven scientific, cultural, sport and social achievements at national and international level.

The National prize “Student of the year” was founded in 2006 and is awarded annually to the best students in Bulgaria.
