The British guru in the Artificial Intelligence sphere Daniel Hulme had a special lecture for the Musala Soft employees.

He came to Bulgaria as a part of the “Meet The Masters” campaign, which is conducted in association with Operational Programme “Human resources development” 2014-2020 of the Ministry of labour and social policy of Bulgaria. Hulme was the fifth lecturer visiting the company after Peter Kriens, Scot Wu. Angel Medinilla and Sebastian Daschner.

Daniel Hulme’s lection was under the topic “Artificial Intelligence and Aided Intelligence – comparison, differences, similarities”.

“The best definition of intelligence — artificial or human — that I’ve found, is goal-directed adaptive behavior. Behavior is how quickly or frictionlessly I can move resources to achieve the objective. The key word for me in the definition is “adaptive”. AI involves systems that can learn and adapt themselves without the aid of a human. Adaptability is synonymous with intelligence”, said Hulme.

Daniel Hulme is the CEO of Satalia that provides AI inspired solutions to solve industries hardest problems and is seen by many as a peer of Google’s DeepMind. He’s also the co-founder of the ASI that transitions scientists into industry as data-scientists. Daniel has a Masters and Doctorate in AI from UCL and is Director of UCL’s Business Analytics MSc; applying AI to solve business/social problems. He lectures in Computer Science and Business and is working on how technology can be used to govern organizations and bring positive social impact. Daniel has Advisory and Executive positions in many companies, he holds an international Kauffman Global Entrepreneur Scholarship and actively promotes positive entrepreneurship and technology innovation across the globe.
