Today talent development experts from Musala Soft organized presentations and workshops in two of the leading universities in Prishtina – The Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” and The University of Business and Technology in Prishtina.
The presentations were focused on skills needed to succeed in landing a job in the IT area. Ivaylo Katsarkov, Talent Development Manager at Musala Soft presented key facts and figures about the company which is in the process of expansion and research for next location in the Balkans. The target is to reach 1,000 employees by 2020 and currently there are over 500 qualified professionals working in the four offices of the company in Sofia, Burgas and Ruse (Bulgaria) and Skopje (Macedonia). Musala Soft success has been widely acknowledged throughout the years as the company has won multiple national and international business awards for its client policies, employer practices, quality and innovation of services and human resources development (Forbes Business Awards, European Business Awards, European IT & Software Excellence Awards, The Award of the Bavarian Representation in Bulgaria, etc).
“Our company strongly believes in the talent and skills of IT students and professionals in the Balkan countries and we are confident that software services industry in the region has huge growth potential”, he said during his speech. Katsarkov shared useful advice on how to prepare a successful CV for an IT role and presented valuable expertise about how Agile helps in software development.
The attending students took part in “Agile in Action” workshops in the form of interactive games focused on teamwork and agile processes. They were given the same starter set of materials and were challenged to follow a process in order to make a product which aimed to demonstrate the benefits of Agile methodology in making better products.
