Last Saturday, on March 31st Musala Soft was a partner of JavaSkop ’18 – a specialized annual IT conference, organized by JUGMK, an official group of Java users (both professionals and enthusiasts) in Macedonia whose primary aim is to connect people that use Java, or are interested about it, share ideas, experiences and knowledge through regular meetings and technical conferences.
JavaSkop ’18 was held at Cineplexx in Skopje and attracted about 300 visitors.
At the conference, Aleksandar Donevski, Senior Software Engineer at Musala Soft, presented “Processing of big data with Apache Spark” at Hall 5, 10:10AM. He explained how processing of big data can be performed with Apache Spark and spoke about the common challenges and approaches in processing of big data.
As part of Musala Soft team, Aleksandar Donevski works on some of the biggest, most innovative and challenging projects of the company for IBM involving Artificial Intelligence. Among them is a cognitive system built on top of the Watson Developer Cloud Services for application in the legal services area. The platform is cognitive question and answering system with complex data analysis, natural language processing and Machine Learning component. The goal of the system is to give natural language answers on questions concerning laws of United States, Canada, European Union, Malaysia and Hong Kong
Also, Musala Soft had a stand at JavaSkop ’18 where the visitors of the conference could learn more about the company and win prizes by solving some logical tasks. The atmosphere was fun and casual and the experience was great and meaningful for all exhibitors and guests.
The participation in knowledge and skills sharing events in the area of Software Technologies is part of the long-term strategy of Musala Soft for development and active contribution to the IT communities in the region.
